WHO WE ARE
The "Truth Music Tour" is a joint collaborative effort by Manny Pierre and Mike E. together with Heather Mandelkorn of the Holistic HipHop Collective. This tour was birthed from our strong desire to create an unprecedented platform where undiscovered inspirational artists can share the same stage with national recording artists. The purpose of this tour is not simply to get people to come out and see their favorite recording artist, it's to help build community engagement and positive talent awareness by showcasing aspiring artists from within that particular community. Mike E. is a former member of the legendary hip-hop group "The Neptunes" and together with Manny Pierre, owner of "Christ Or Die Apparel", founded Generation Next Music Group which aims to empower this generation and the next with positive, God-inspired music. Heather Mandelkorn, president of Holistic HipHop Collective, is a trained cultural anthropologist, educator, author, community organizer, and event planner. She created the collective to allow artists to showcase their art and to bring the true essence of Hip-Hop back to the urban landscape.
DEMOGRAPHICS/BENEFITS:
Positive rap, along with other genres of positive music, have made great strides within the last several years. An industry that was once littered with socially conscious, profanity-free lyrics soon experienced a stark change with the introduction of Gangster Rap, provocative R&B and even more so with the emergence of Trap Music. However, even during this era there has always been a huge market for people who crave the uplifting, positive music that we once loved. Today, that audience has proven to be more evident with several Christian and conscious-minded artists breaking into the mainstream, climbing the charts of the Billboard 200 and even winning Grammys. With the Truth Music Tour, we intend to headline some of these acclaimed artist, starting with Bizzle (who is currently number 13 on the Billboard 200 and has the number 8 rap record in the country) and No Malice (platinum selling artist formerly of the Clipse, whose latest album reached number 10 on iTunes). As a sponsor, you will be afforded the opportunity to market your products directly to people who can grow your brand immediately. Not only will your brand be advertised to Christians who may be unfamiliar with your brand, but also to non-Christians who are also interested in the positive music culture.
