About the event

KTFO (formerly MMA Platinum Gloves) was developed to showcase the best MMA talent in the New York Tri-State area. We started in October of 2013 and have put on 14 successful events as of June of 2016. Our events have been available on live stream and on-demand to over 1 billion homes world-wide.

Our vision is to become one of the premier MMA promotion in the US, attracting the best talent from all over the country and showcasing them on national TV. Many of our athletes have aspirations of one day fighting in the UFC, the biggest professional promotion in the sport, and we want to be the promotion that gets them to that level.

We have moved our venue to the iconic Space at Westbury, a newly renovated theater that seats 1,000 people, conveniently located less than 20 minutes from New York City.

Why should you sponsor?

The attendance at our events have risen from 150 people at the first event (October 2013) to an average attendance of 850 over the last 4 events (2016). Our new venue, The Space at Westbury, seats 1,000 for MMA events and our projections have attendance at capacity for our events held their.

Besides the large attendance, we have a TV deal with the Fight Network, a 24/7 combat sport network that is available in over 3 million homes in the tri-state area (through Optimum). Our events regularly air in primetime on the Fight Network.

We also have a deal with Buffalo Wild Wings, a very popular sports bar and restaurant, to broadcast our events in their Long Island locations. There are currently 8 locations with expansion to 10 within the next 2 years. Our events air throughout the restaurant with full sound.

ABOUT THE PROMOTER

KTFO is run by Nic Canobbio. Nic has been in the combat sports industry his entire life. Besides running KTFO, he is the VP of Operations at CompuBox Inc. CompuBox is the official real-time stats provider for boxing. MMA and kickboxing and their clients include HBO, Showtime, ESPN, NBC, Fox, CBS, Spike TV. Nic has been ringside for thousands of live fights and has knowledge of how events are run from both the promoters stand point and the TV networks.

ABOUT THE PROMOTION

KTFO puts on 5-6 events per year on Long Island. Our venues have included Upsky Hotel, St. Joseph’s College and The Sports Arena. Our average attendance is steadily increasing with each show. Our fighters mostly come from gyms on Long Island but we’ve had fighters from Florida, Baltimore and New England regularly fight for us.
