About the event

The Annual Summit on Youth in the United Nations " The 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the UN: Developing Youth Initiatives to Promote Sustainable Economies, Cultural Understanding, and Global Human Rights" (New York City; September 21st - 26th, 2015).   

In an age of growing international instability, many questions are being posed about the responsibility and the role of the United Nations in today’s interdependent world. This Symposium will take the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the UN to bring an international and interdisciplinary group of practitioners of cultural diplomacy together with high level global governance representatives in order to analyze and to develop new initiatives to promote cultural understanding, global human rights & world peace within the UN.

The International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy in the United Nations will include keynote addresses, lectures, and interactive panel discussions and debates in order to create a platform for new initiatives to be created and proposed.
