About the event

Welcome!  We want to express our most sincere thanks for supporting the Ridgefield Lions Club.  Your support will undoubtedly help the Ridgefield Lions continue to aid the humanitarian, educational and civic projects, which are so critical to the Ridgefield community.

Rules:

• The format is a SCRAMBLE.  Each team will choose the best ball from their foursome following every shot, with all team members then playing their next shot from that spot.  This continues until the ball is in the hole.

• Each team must play at least two drives per player over the course of 18 holes.

• If your group is a threesome, you can rotate a player to take an extra shot for every stroke to compensate for a lack of a 4th team member.  You must rotate the extra shot through all team members and maintain the same rotation throughout the round. 

• *Mulligans can be purchased in the Clubhouse for $10 each, or 3 for $20.  Each mulligan entitles a golfer to a second shot on any particular hole.

• *Contest holes are as follows:

  • Hole-in-One contest – 3rd Hole

  • Longest Drive – Men – 7th Hole

  • Longest Drive – Women – 8th Hole

  • Closest to the Pin – Men – 17th Hole

  • Closest to the Pin – Women – 5th Hole

* Mulligans do not count for any contest holes.

Schedule:

• 11:30am - Registration
• 12:00pm - Lunch
• 12:30pm - Shotgun Start
• 5:00pm - Snacks & Beverages
• 5:00pm - Ball Drop
• 5:30pm - BBQ Dinner

The Ridgefield Lions Club is a non-profit organization that supports the local community. The Lions Mission Statement is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

In 1925, Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights of the blind". Today Lions are recognized throughout the world for their service to the blind and visually impaired.  We demonstrate our commitment to sight through eyeglass recycling, sight partnerships and numerous other sight service projects. The Lions motto is "We Serve".

We are always looking for people to join us in our endeavor to help those less fortunate.  Our club consists of both male and female members from all walks of life.  We would love for you to join us at one of our meetings to see what we're all about.
