About the event
This event is a city-wide jump rope competition that promotes fitness, teamwork, and unity amongst the adults and children in our Chicago communities. Nowadays, there aren’t a lot of jump ropes hitting the pavements, especially in the streets of Chicago. Jump rope was once a popular activity for young girls to connect and have fun, from chants and rhythms to neighbourhood jump rope competitions. Fortunately, it can be reborn. However, to ensure competitiveness, this project will focus on a jump rope version called “Double Dutch”.

Jump Off Chicago: Throwback is a wonderful opportunity for your company to gain valuable exposure within the community while supporting a worthy cause. You will help us decline obesity rates amongst children and adults in the city of Chicago. According to Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children, 29.2% of 6th graders were obese in the 2011-2015 reports and 18.6% were overweight. Amongst 9th graders, 16.7% were obese while 15.4% were overweight. The adult obesity rate in 2015 was 30.8%. We want to give our youth something to look forward to. CCE is dedicated to bring out the best in communities by bringing a positive touch through our events; the jump rope competition acts as one of our positive gestures. With your partnership, you will us make a difference.
Jasmine PerryMy name is Jasmine Perry and I am the CEO of Community Concepts and Events. I always had a passion to help people. It's my designed purpose and I can't run away from it. In addition to helping others, I also have a passion for planning events, which gave me the idea to form a company where I can help others and create events at the same time.
