India Afro-Latin Sensation (IALS) is an annual dance congress where schools & students participate to learn from visiting International teachers, dance and socialize with people visiting from various cities of India and abroad. The Afro-Latin dancing scene has been a 20 years old community in India, There are various dance congresses every year in India, organized by various schools or promoters. The umbrella of Afro-Latin Dance styles include; Salsa, Bachata, Cuban Salsa, Rumba, ChaCha, Bachata, Merengue, Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxinha, Urbankiz, Tarraxo etc, which are cultural and street dance styles originally from Latin America, Caribbean, and Africa.
After the successful execution of IALS 1st Edition in 2019 with 400+ particiants, we are back this year with Edition 2.0. Just like 1st edition, we are committed again to bring unique and new flavour for the afro-latin dancing community of India. IALS 2019 1st Edition had partcipants from 20+ countries and 17 cities in India, with 51% women participants and was covered by National & International media like NDTV Mumbai, The Kizomba Channel, and Webdunia India
IALS Festival is an event to spread dance culture from different origin and is a platform where people from different nationality and culture meet and socialize. It gives a global visibility and brand promotion to mass audience and also an opportunity to be a part of a cause, i.e to "spread dance and music"
I was born & brought up in Dhanbad, Jharkhand in a Bengali family. I moved to Delhi in 2000 to pursue higher studies. A Software Engineer, Six Sigma Certified and IT Infrastructure Specialist, currently heading the IT department for a reputed agro-chemical MNC company based out in New Delhi, India. Pursued dancing as a hobby in 2008 just to engage himself into some extracurricular activities. A trained dancer in various form such as Street Jazz, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba & Afro. He took dancing professionally in 2015 and started teaching with Kizomba India Co. I have been invited as a Kizomba Teacher in various events in India and abroad. Also, an Afro-Latin DJ who has been invited to DJ in more than 120+ events and the 1st from India to be invited in Europe & South East Asia to DJ & as a Taxi Dancer in Kizomba festivals.
I also run an initiative called “Afro-Latindia Invasion” & “Team MDMA” to promote Afro-Latin Dance, Music & Culture. His association has been part of many events in India as co-organizer, event planner and promoter.
