About the event
Rainbow Covenant Economic Development Center (RCEDC) is a project that was born out of the heart of Pastor Lisa Brown of Walking in the Shekinah Glory Global Ministries. This community development center will be designed to service the people in the Austin community in Chicago IL. and abroad. This center will help to rebuild and bring change to this impoverished community by providing jobs, education, entrepreneurship opportunities, clothing, food giveaways, and spiritual growth. This community is sick with poverty and violence and it is the goal of this center to help to convert and empower the community to strive and become positive and strong with the ability to be self-sufficient.
This two day event is a fashion show and benefit dinner as well as a conference. The proceeds from this will go toward the down payment on obtaining the land we plan to build a community development center on. The total Event will cost $4000 to hold and we want to offset that cost as much as possible. We also want to invite out men and women from shelters and transitional houses that cannot afford to come and and enjoy themselves.
