About the event
The topics included in the Self Esteem Mini Retreat will be self-esteem, health, self-care, and body image, boundaries, building self-worth, coping strategies, bullying & girl drama, teen life, peer pressure, and so much more while incorporating Zumba! I created this Mini Retreat to help teen girls because our teen girls are not okay! The effects of the pandemic, social media pressures, and the difficulty of adolescence add up to self-esteem issues and other problems. I want these girls to walk away with a sense of self-worth and assertiveness that ensures no one can mess with them AND I’d like to teach them how they keep messing with themselves: by telling themselves a story (that’s untrue), by negative self-talk and endless self-criticism….they are letting other people mess with them and also they are messing with their own heads.
