ESCAPE THE ZOMBIE INFECTION IN HOUSTON
Zombie Charge is the most authentic zombie-infested 5k mud run with obstacles, trails, mud, swamps and surprises coming back to the Houston area. As a runner you have to strategically run the course and survive by avoiding the zombies charging after you trying to steal your flags. As a zombie, you have to grab the oncoming runners flags. Either way, your heart will be racing! Do you have what it takes to survive...?
ABOUT THE RACE
Our Houston Zombie Charge course is more than an off-road adventure race in wooded trails, open fields and muddy bayous. It’s more than just a race, it’s about survival. No chips to time you, no competition! Just make it to the Safe Zone. At Zombie Charge Runners will overcome 8 - 12 obstacles while zombies try to take your 3 flags!

This is Zombie Charge. Will you end up a survivor or become one of the undead? Build your teams, bring your coworkers and friends! After the race join your friends and family in the safe zone for plenty of music, contests, food, beer (for donation), and all kinds of fun activities.

Currently, the Greater Houston area has faced a series of floods and we are dedicated to solving the problem of fitness and readiness in a creative way.
The annual Zombie Charge 5K is an obstacle course race with a cause and one of a kind experience that provides a real world challenge in a fantasy scenario where survival is more important that competition. The obstacles on the course will test physical strength and team building skills in a world where a fictitious zombie virus has infected the population. The experience is made to bring people together, encourage better health, contribute to partner charities and receive free information on disaster readinessv - just in case!
We are partnering with strong non profit organizations and local businesses to make a big impact in the community by focusing our efforts to help people live healthier lives and communities to become resilient.
At the post race festival, music and vendors will highlight the theme of survival by providing products and services to help with our campaign to focus on disaster education.

We decided the best way to solve this problem is to create an event that challenges the runners (survivors), promotes team building and communication and a fun way to provide products and information to help with emergency preparedness.

The organizer has over 7 years of Active Duty and National Guard time AND over 9 years of community volunteering experience. The company stands behind it's message "Be Fit, Be Prepared".
