About the event
Johntoberfest – Taking place October 2017
This is a yearly event that now gives back to the community by generating large guest attendance from throughout the Midwest. Johntoberfest offers a unique experience, the first of its kind, combining Detroit & Flint Midwestern cultural elements that are inherently exclusive to Michigan. Set on a 14 acre wooded property, guests enjoy Motown inspired soul food, gritty music from the streets of Detroit and Flint, craft beers brewed in Michigan, while enjoying the outdoor fall weather in an orchard like setting.
Who says you can’t have fun while changing the world? Johntoberfest now amortizes this amazing culinary and musical experience for the benefit of charity. A community experience with each and every guest bringing their individual spirit, making Johntoberfest what it is, all while benefiting charities focused on men’s health.
Why should you sponsor?
While food, beer, and music are front and center at Johntoberfest, men’s health has become the heart and soul of our event. About 1 man in 7 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Our goal is to raise funds to help support research that will lower this unfortunate statistic. We can put a man on the moon but to check for prostate cancer…. Well you know. Help us STOP those fingers looking for prostate problems!
Our gathering benefits charities tackling all aspects of men’s health including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health with all proceeds going to the Movember Foundation.
Help us make Johntoberfest 2017 a success.
Hello, I am John the founder of Johntoberfest. I started this event after a very difficult time in my life for a way to say thank you some friends that became family while supporting me. After the first Johntoberfest the event started to grow and it was soon realized it was amazing feeling the energy of each person’s individual spirit and listening to other people’s life stories. I have always found that real life is more interesting than fiction, stories that actually happened. Seeing guests swap stories and people meeting each other, the environment just became electric and made me want to share this experience with more.
I realized that all this energy could be put to a cause. With my family having prostate problems my focus turned to how I could help support research for all aspects of men’s health. The answer was in front of me, use our yearly celebration to support a cause.
Thank you in advance for any and all support!
