Frosty's Fat Bike Race #4 - Aspen Grove, UT,

About the event

Frosty is the premier Winter Fat Bike race series. In 2017 we have 5 events from Alberta Canada to Utah. At Aspen Grove we will hold an endurance XC snow bike race. All experience levels are invited to attend and test their snow biking skills on this 20mile+ course.

The course (like the 2016 course) will asend 4.2 miles from Aspen Grove to the Alpine Loop Summit, then plunge down groomed single track toward Cascade Springs. Following the road back to the top you will then descend to Salamander Flats and turn North toward the Pine Hollow trail. This amazing descent will take you to the Pine Hollow trailhead after which you will climb back to the Summit before the final descent back to Aspen Grove.  If snow conditions and grooming are good we may add the Timpanokee trail system into the mix.

This is a backcountry event with a Summit aid station which you will pass 3x and a aid/checkpoint at Pine Hollow. Like a typical mountain bike event,participants should be prepared to manage themselves and bring needed gear and tools to reslove any situation they may encounter.

Come experience the beauty of Timpanogos Mountain and the Wasatch range as you challenge yourself on the groomed trails and against the competition. Riders are categorized as A (Abominable), B (Bigfoot) and C (Chilly) race categories. We also seperate by gender so Male and Female in each division.

I'm Keith Payne, the race director for the Frosty Fat Bike Race Series. I have been managing the 4Life/Mad Dog Cycles race team for 16 years. I'm an avid cyclist in many disciplines and love to see the sport grow.

Our team has been running the Frosty series for 4 seasons now and we are excited to expand our offerings to new communities in the Western US. 

We desire to grown the sport and offer sponsors an opportunity to align their products or services with a fun and exciting sport. We want to find organizations who see the vision of Fat Biking and Winter riding.
