About the event

Fem Dance Company is a professional dance company in Salt Lake City, Utah that strives to represent and empower women in the performing arts. We offer opportunities for dancers and choreographers to further their artistic careers through workshops and fully produced dance concerts. Our upcoming spring show will feature 10 or more dancers and 3 choreographers. This show will demonstrate the potency and brilliance of women artists in the Salt Lake City community and beyond. We are excited to see these women on stage and give their artistic voices a platform to be heard and appreciated!

Alicia Ross

My name is Alicia Ross, and I am the Director of Fem Dance Company. I founded and established Fem Dance Company nearly 3 years ago with the simple idea of empowering women in dance. I never imagined it would grow to be the great success that it is today - holding auditions with over 50 dancers, classes and workshops, and performances with audiences over 100 people per night. I am passionate about what I do and I find my purpose in sharing meaningful art. I'm also a teacher and find joy in bringing dance into children's lives. Dance has the power to make a positive impact and convey significant stories in ways that no other art form can. It is an embodied practice that I hold to a very high remark in my life. I am immensely grateful for all support that enables me to continue dancing and sharing my art.
