Coney Island Mermaid Parade,

Brooklyn, New York, United States Brooklyn, New York, United States

  • About the event

The L Train Brass band are seeking corporate partners to help underwrite their summer parade show, "MER Max: Fury Rail", which will be debutet at the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island this June. The Mermaid Parade attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators every year.  Last year, this group won an honorable mention, and this year, they are pulling out the all the stops!

The L Train Brass Band, in collaboration with Vesta Collective, welcomes you to enjoy their summer parade show MER MAX: Fury Rail. The year is 2019. The L Train is gone and North Brooklyn is in ruin. Only one band of survivors is willing to face what lurks beneath the surface of the East River, and get their train back on track!

Vesta Collective is comprised of top, independent performance artists in the Northeast. The core value of the collective is to allow its artists to maintain their individual brands without signing to a single performance troupe. Vesta Collective is rapidly growing and evolving as it aspires to become the leading individual performance art collective on the east coast.

    Why should you sponsor?

The L Train Brass Band is the performance ensemble of the Brooklyn Brass Band Collective. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the group serves the NYC music community by providing a truly unique, engaging—and most importantly, FUN—experience for adult musicians of all levels. The LTBB fosters a safe and friendly creative environment by promoting self-expression and welcoming individuals from all musical backgrounds and walks of life. Their ever-growing, socially-conscious community offers the most exciting way to pick up a horn, hit the streets, and start playing music!

Founded by tuba player Ryan Hall and trombonist David Joseph in early 2017, The L Train Brass Band (LTBB) quickly grew from a small, second-line brass band interest group on Meetup to a thriving music community of nearly 50 active and contributing members. This community-centric, organizational approach allows the band to morph and adapt to a variety of gig situations whether it’s a 12-piece party band, a 40-piece marching unit, or anything in-between. This rotating, ragtag ensemble is excited by the opportunity to play anywhere and everywhere, covering a wide variety of music, from pop and hip-hop – to funk and traditional Dixieland jazz – to eclectic original charts.
