About our event
When facing a serious medical diagnosis, children require excellent medical care for physical healing but also deserve enriching experiences that protect their mental and emotional well-being. Creating positive associations with hospitals and treatment can be essential for a child’s overall care. That's where A Moment of Magic comes in. AMoM is a national organization, and our volunteers across the country make the “magic” happen by delivering programs led by volunteers that our organization recruits, trains, and activates in unique, hands-on service work benefiting children in their local communities. We currently have over 30 chapters at colleges nationwide, engaging more than 1,300 college students through partnerships with 350 hospitals and nonprofit organizations, serving more than 18,000 children annually. Join us for the seventh annual A Night of Magic event at the historic 48 Wall Street on September 26th, 2024. This special event brings together more than 150 of the leading changemakers in New York City's healthcare, business, fashion, entertainment, and philanthropic communities for a night of music, community, and impact. Past event sponsors include the New York Yankees, Charles Schwab, Cigna, and more. The annual event boasts celebrity performances and celebrates honorees who make humanitarian and philanthropic contributions to supporting children and young adults battling cancer and other serious illnesses. The special event features a cocktail reception with a silent auction and live auction of exclusively curated experiences. Guests will enjoy surprise performances by local band The Niche and Bella DeNapoli of NBC's The Voice. The pinnacle moment of our event is our Celebration Circle, where we will honor cancer fighters and their family members through a special award presentation accompanied by a celebratory cheer tunnel.
