About the event
Celebrate Earth Day by helping break (and eat) the world record for the largest serving of nachos. However, these are not just any nachos- these nachos are made with Chirps, the first ever cricket chips!
About Us: We are the co-founders of the first ever cricket tortilla chip company, called "Chirps Chips" (www.chirpschips.com). Insects are one of the most sustainable protein sources out there, so we are on a mission to show people how delicious they can be and get America eating bugs! We do this by adding a protein powder from crickets to tortilla chips. They look and taste like a normal chip, but they have as much protein as an egg per serving.
About the Event: We have 2000+ lbs of cricket tortilla chips ready to go, and will be partnering with Chipotle to donate beans, not to mention 1,000 lbs of Nacho Cheese, hundreds of lbs of salsa, and 16 tables to fit it all!
So eat bugs and celebrate the Earth!

Rose SkeggOn a study abroad trip to Tanzania, Laura was dared to eat a fried caterpillar and it was love at first bite! She learned that insects are the sustainable protein source she’d been looking for her entire life as a vegetarian. With her two college roommates Rose and Meryl, Laura set out to get Americans excited about eating bugs. In the beginning, everyone told us that we were crazy. However, in May 2014, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to introduce the world to Chirps cricket chips. It became one of the most successful food Kickstarters ever! Since then, we’ve been on a journey to spread the buzz about Chirps.
In January 2017, we were featured on ABC's Shark Tank and were invested in by Mark Cuban! It's been a whirlwind experience and we'd love for you to enjoy some of our momentum with us! We'd love to get your help making this event as amazing, delicious and informative as possible.
