  • About the event

    VIT, Vellore (Vellore Institute of Technology) is one among the premiere educational institutions of the subcontinent with over ​30,000 students, 1400 faculty, hailing from every state in India and different countries across the globe. Every year, VIT hosts Riviera, a 4-day cultural event in the month of February, packed by all sorts of events including social cultural sports celebrity concerts.

    The fest always kick starts with VIT Marathon on the first day of riviera making it the Curtain Raiser Event of RIVIERA where ​more than 3000 participants run displaying their unanimous support for a social cause or opposition against a social ill. The marathon is a reflection not just of sporting prowess, but also a desire to raise awareness and encourage all to carry the torch of change.

    We, members of Helphen India a student-based NGO has successfully organized VIT Marathon ever since its inception as the curtain raising event for Riviera back in 2014. From 800 participants in 2014 to 3200 participants in the 2018’s edition, we have a long way in improving the quality of the event and we wish to do the same this year as well.

    Why should you sponsor?

    The team of VIT Marathon 2019 will publicize the support provided by Sponsor as the Title Sponsors for VIT Marathon 2019 on all platforms.

    • Sponsor reserves the right to decide the theme of the Marathon.
    • The event will be known as Sponsor VIT Marathon 2019”   OR “VIT Marathon 2019 brought to you by Sponsor” as per the company’s discretion. All publicity for the event will be done using this name.
    • The company will be provided with a promotional stall of size 10x10 sqft for the 4 days of Riviera.
    • As many as 50 t-shirts designed highlighting the company as title sponsors to be given for the sponsors employees.
    • A photo booth near the finishing point of the MARATHON where the social media handles of the title sponsor will be highlighted.
    • The Photography Club – VIT University is our Media partner who will take care of the publicity of the event both online and on the field.
    • The event will gain publicity via 6 different social media handles each highlighting the support of Sponsor:
      1. Riviera’s official FB page,
      2. VIT Marathon’s FB page,
      3. Helphen’s FB page
      4. Helphen’s Instagram page
      5. Helphen’s linkedin handle.
      6. The Photography club’s FB Page
    • Apart from that, because of VIT’s aura and reputation, media coverage will be done by Times of India, The Hindu and one local newspaper.
    • There will be publicity through VIT Community Radio.
    • In addition, other National Radio channels approach us every year for the interviews. So, wherever our team gives the interview, the contribution of Sponsor will surely be highlighted as the title sponsor.
    • There will be publicity through the official website of Helphen India that is www.helphenindia.co.in
    • Sponsor logo will be highlighted on the prize distribution of VIT Marathon.
    • Students from reputed universities within the country will be invited for Riviera via mail as well as brochures sent to the universities.
    • 4000 T-shirts will be distributed and the logo and name of Sponsor will be exclusively highlighted.
    • The Marathon team will recruit about 400 volunteers for the event who will work for one month to get registrations to make this event successful. While getting students registered for the event, all the sponsors of the event will be mentioned to them.
    • In addition, the registration desks during the whole month will have the posters on the desks with the company’s name highlighted.
    • These volunteers will also be wearing T-shirts with the company’s name and logo exclusively highlighted.
    • The team members and volunteers that constitute the organizing teams of RIVIERA and marathon will publicise any digital media handles associated with Sponsor.
    • ARCH at the starting point of Marathon on all the 4 days of Riviera, ARCH for the same to be set up by VIT.
    • Before Marathon, there will be 2 Event Expos tentatively on 1st and 8th of February. The publicity team will make sure that all the sponsors are properly conveyed to the crowd.
    • Decoration at the venue of registrations on the day of Marathon with posters (quantity as per requirement) will have the company’s name properly highlighted.
    • There will be a pre-marathon event exclusively for Marathon, on 10th of February. Solely for the promotion of the theme of Marathon as decided by the title sponsors.
    • Logo on Bibs for all the participants and advertisement on refreshment stalls.
    • Print/digital media high visibility LCD screens throughout the campus.
    • Promotion through video and digital posters to be displayed on 3LCD screens across the campus and around 25 led screens across hostel blocks and in 5 administrative buildings.
