In November 2018, Virtual Assistant Sister Learning was created as a community for Women of Color, who work or aspire to build businesses in the virtual service provider industry. It became a space to learn how to start a virtual business, get educated on growing your current virtual business, collaborate, support, and share with other virtual service providers. A natural extension of our group has become the VA World Conference.
Due to Covid-19, there has been an immediate surge in most industries across the world for the need for virtual business partners to help with marketing, administration, management, tech support, and more. The virtual assistant industry is growing, and many people are seeking education on how to properly start and run a successful virtual agency.
Our intention is to reach the Virtual Service Provider through the various software, financial institutions, industry organizations, etc. as a supplement to the Speakers planned.
Minority women are the fastest-growing population of entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurial ventures are concentrated in three sectors: service businesses being the main one. While many women are making tremendous strides in the business world, they still face obstacles as entrepreneurs.
A recent report suggested that the VA industry will grow at a CAGR of 4.4% between 2018 and 2022. This was before the pandemic and the Great Resignation.
Virtual Service Providers align with sponsors who support their daily lives and enable them to be the best service provider and individual.
Nakia D. Whittaker-Woody, co-organizer of the VA World Conference is a 23 year veteran Administrative Professional, Virtual Assistant, and Co-Moderator of the Virtual Assistant Sister Learning Group. I love what I do and hope to inspire or support others who want the freedom and flexibility of working from home as a business owner.
