    What are The Studio Awards?

    The Studio Awards are blessed to have curated the most interactive artist development experience in the music industry. Our state of the art event boasts performance workshop classes with the goal to feature high- level training in both fundamental techniques and the world's most advanced approaches. The Studio Awards Faculty are a collection of Artists and Industry professionals who are determined to strengthen the future generation of performance.

     

    In addition to industry standard performance education, The Studio Awards offers a Multimedia Competition where creativity is endorsed and rewarded. Our Competition ensures that artists of all levels have a positive experience from their performance opportunity.

     

    The Studio Awards curates and promotes the idea of expansion. Take the journey through self-expression. The Studio Awards Faculty give care towards every performer's personal growth; and have developed the program to create a supportive community, assuring that every performer can excel.     We expect 2,600 people attending at this event, we will also be streaming to up to 15,000 people as well as broadcasting into the homes of 1,200 with our broadcasting partner WUPV.           Hello, my name is Rasul Elder,

    Visionary and Producer of the Studio Awards. I have participated in many conventions as a performer, instructor, and as a technician. I have seen with my own eyes the power of these gathers. Where information about a given field of study, hobby or science can be exchanged. Where professionals and novice alike learn from each other and create life long and far reaching connections leading to unforgettable experiences.

    Im 40 year old Entertainment Industry Professional. A team player leader, and clever trouble shooter. “Going with the signal flow” I genuinely love show business. I bring love to work no matter my role. I live by the words, “the show must go on!” My experience ranges from roadie to tech to talent. I know the business from the inside out; from sales and demos of Professional AV equipment to venue installation, corporate AV, festivals, concerts, music venues and night clubs in various markets. Lighting, Audio, Video, Streaming and Broadcasting.

    Universoul Circus

    Stage Crew, AV tech Nov. 2017 – Dec 2018

    I toured with the the production crew of Universoul Circus working in the Stage, Lighting, and Props department for the 2018 national tour. Duties included loading/unloading props and materials from trucks, assembling stage parts,

    unloading and setting up road cases; setting up lighting, props, microphones, risers and other musical equipment, and Perform {spotlight operation} during shows.

    Beauty is Our Weapon

    Stage and Tour Manager Jan. 2016 – Jan. 2017

    I developed an all girl DJ and hip hop crew called Beauty is Our Weapon (BIOW). I was Head of Production and Creative Director for both national tours. Duties included confirming reservations and show times; managing tour finances, maintaining and enforcing group punctuality; primary contact with promoters, venue managers, ticket agents, and the like; coordinating promotions to various media outlets and public events, and distributing fliers and promo merchandise.
