About the event

What we are  doing....Raven A.K.A. Rockin Raven of "Raven on the Rock" radio show is a Colorado supporter and promoter of local musicians, bands and other Colorado music industry professionals. Raven's heart and passion for the local music scene has brought awareness and positive connection for many music artists, both young and mature. She features musicians live on her radio show, giving them the spotlight to talk about their passion and dedication to their music artistry. 

The Rock Awards has been a dream of Raven's for many years. Endearingly  "Colorado's Grammy's", The Rock Awards are based on "People's Choice" voting. And in 2017 the final vote, of the top 4 peoples choice, will be judged by 6 judges prominate in the music  scene. Elegant framd awards will be awarded to Colorado musicians, bands, and other music industry professional. 

The final round of voting rules includes voting for every category, Voters will be able to save their entry and come back to it before submitting, Why? If a voter only votes for someone they know, they are not learning anything about the music scene, There are links to every nominees music.

The Rock Awards... 
The mission of The Rock Awards is to honor musical achievements and support and grow the Colorado music community. To bring awareness to the public and the World of the special music family that resides in our beautiful state.
The Rock Awards was envisioned in 2011 after Raven on the Rock local radio launched.  Raven learned of the talented musicians in Colorado and was determined to grow the music scene. The Grammy Awards and the Peoples Choice Awards were combined to create The Rock Awards.  Seven years of planning have gone into The Rock Awards. When the nominations were launched on February 24, 2015 the response was overwhelming. The 2017 Rock Awards will  be held at a The Seawell Grand Ballroom, Sunday September 17, 2017. It will be Colorado’s Premier Black Tie event, (or dress "Rock Star Style") Red Carpet included.
The Rock Awards will expose incredible talent in Colorado to the World, the Country and also to the State of Colorado. From youth musicians to seasoned veterans of the Colorado music scene.  The Rock Awards will also support our local small businesses.
There are also 3 of the  categories called Global Eye Talent. Raven on the Rock plays a song each show from around the country and around the World.

Please help support Raven in her effort to continue promoting and supporting the Colorado Music Industry by becoming a sponsor or advertiser of The Rock Awards.  The Goal is to eventually bring this to each state. There  are incredible musicians out there who can not afford to buy into the National music scene,

Raven on the Rock is... a Livestream radio show, broadcast at ravenontherock.com  and now LIVE on VRDO / Country Variety Radio  , and also representing Colorado on Rock Rage Radio , inspired by the amazing musicians of Colorado and around the World, who have the passion and God given talent to make people smile and feel good through music. The show spreads original music from Colorado throughout the world, while sharing talent with at least one song a show from around the world. Leading people where there is no path, but leaving a trail.

Raven on the Rock is... a vision, and now a dream, to change the outlook and attitude of the world through inspiring musicians and their music. Raven on the Rock is not genre specific. The show exposes young and old alike with different genres and styles that they may not actually have chosen to listen to, opening souls to the music around them.

The last 7  years has been an amazing musical learning experience. Discovering the local talent that is not only in Denver and the state of Colorado but around the country and world. This was a vision that entered Raven's  heart and grew faster than she  ever expected. There has been such a wonderful outpouring of appreciation from musicians for doing what we do. Raven  keeps reminding them that THEY  are  the reason she can  do what she  does. 

We are keeping the show family friendly because Raven  is all about the kids. She  wants to expose them to the amazing music and musicians around them and the talent they can learn from. The show for the last 7  years has been funded from Raven's  own income with a few very special businesses  advertising. 

Raven  believes with what is in her  heart, what is in every musician's heart and the passion they  both have for what we do, we can create an astonishing show. Expanding to guest co-hosts, contests, Live streaming from venues and of course...The Rock Awards...Colorado's own personal and elegant Grammy's but a People's Choice Award.

No one wants to "jump on the bandwagon" until you are already successful. The goal of The Rock Awards was to have the local support of local music venues, local music stores and local businesses in general. It was very disappointing the first year, that the music venues and music stores would not support the same musicians that support their businesses.
