  • About the event

Our event is designed to provide valuable opportunities for college and graduate students to engage, learn, and connect. We focus on topics that are directly relevant to the students' educational and career journeys. The event is structured to foster both inspiration and practical advice, with a special emphasis on networking and community building.

    Speakers

The heart of the event is the lineup of 3 dynamic speakers who bring unique perspectives and experiences to the table. Each speaker will have 15-25 minutes to share their insights on subjects such as:

    • Navigating internships: Tips on finding, applying for, and succeeding in internships across different industries.

    • Scholarships and financial aid: Guidance on how to access funding for college, including scholarship opportunities, grants, and managing finances.

    • Career development: Personal stories, industry trends, and actionable steps to kickstart a career after graduation.

    • Personal growth and success: Building skills, overcoming challenges, and preparing for the workforce.
The talks will provide students with practical advice, career guidance, and motivational insights, all from individuals who have firsthand experience in the fields they're discussing.

    Networking

Networking is a cornerstone of the event. Students will have multiple chances to connect with speakers, fellow students, and professionals in informal and structured settings.

    • Pre-talk Networking (11:00 AM - 11:45 AM): Start the event with an opportunity to meet other attendees, exchange ideas, and begin building your network before the talks begin.

    • Post-talk Networking (1:00 PM - 1:15 PM): After the speakers finish, there will be time for Q&A and open networking, allowing students to ask specific questions, dive deeper into topics, and further engage with the speakers and each other.

    • Mini Group Sessions (1:15 PM - 2:00 PM): After the talks, attendees can rotate through small group discussions with each speaker. This is a chance for students to engage in a more personal, focused discussion on topics that interest them, such as internships, career development, or navigating college life. The 8-minute rotations ensure that students get exposure to multiple speakers and ideas.

    Why should you sponsor?

Sponsoring our event provides a unique opportunity for brands to engage with a highly motivated and diverse audience of college and graduate students, aged 16-25. Here are several reasons why sponsoring our event is a great investment:

    1. Strong Engagement and Reach

We have a strong social media presence, with 67K followers across various platforms. This allows sponsors to benefit from significant exposure before, during, and after the event.

    • Pre-event promotion: Sponsors will be featured in our event announcements, posts, and reminders across our social channels, reaching thousands of potential attendees.

    • During the event: We actively engage with attendees via live updates, behind-the-scenes content, and highlights from the event. Your brand will be directly associated with an event that draws significant attention and engagement.

    • Post-event visibility: After the event, we share recap content, including testimonials, photos, and key takeaways, giving sponsors continued visibility.

    2. Direct Access to a Targeted Audience

Our event brings together a group of motivated students who are actively seeking advice on career development, internships, scholarships, and how to navigate college life.

    • This makes it an ideal space for sponsors whose services or products are relevant to this demographic.

    • Sponsorship ensures your brand is seen by the right people, at the right time, in a highly relevant context.

    3. Community Engagement and Brand Loyalty

By supporting an event focused on education, career development, and networking, sponsors are seen as contributing to the success and growth of young professionals. This creates positive brand sentiment and helps build long-term loyaltyamong attendees.

    • Students remember and support brands that invest in their success.

    • This type of engagement encourages a sense of community and connection between the brand and attendees.

    4. Increased Brand Awareness

    Sponsoring our event provides:

    • Prominent brand placement at the venue and throughout the event materials (handouts, flyers, and promotional materials).

    • Recognition during the event, including mentions and visibility in all communications leading up to and during the event.

    • On-site exposure: Direct interaction with students and professionals, allowing your brand to be associated with a valuable, positive experience.

    5. Exclusive Networking Opportunities

Sponsors will have the chance to engage directly with students, speakers, and other sponsors in a more intimate, meaningful way.

    • Sponsors can participate in networking opportunities to connect with potential future talent or future customers.

    • These interactions create lasting relationships that benefit both sponsors and attendees long after the event ends.

    Karla Mora

My name is Karla Mora, and I am a first-generation student who grew up in a household with a single parent. My journey has been one of resilience, determination, and the desire to break barriers for myself and my family. Being the first in my family to pursue higher education has shaped my drive and fueled my ambition to succeed.

Navigating through school while overcoming personal and financial challenges has given me a unique perspective on the power of education. As I move forward in my academic career, I aim to leverage my experiences to inspire others who may be facing similar obstacles.

I’m now focused on pursuing opportunities for graduate school (GOC) during my junior year, as I believe continuing my education is key to achieving my long-term goals. My ultimate mission is to make a meaningful impact in my community, especially for other first-generation students who need support in their academic and professional journeys.
