Overall Prince Kai Mulan and Overall Princess Brooklyn Juicy Couture (HBO's Legendary Season 3) Present The Blond Ball. On September 27th, the ball is set to be the biggest ball in NYC bringing in 1000+ guests from all around the world, competing for grand prizes in categories like vogue, runway, face, and more.
What is a ball?
Ballroom culture describes an underground queer subculture, founded by black trans and queer folks, in which people walk and compete in different categories, such as vogue, runway, face, and more—those who get their 10s from the judges and then battle one-on-one against each other for trophies, prizes, and glory.
Ballroom in Mainstream Media:
Since its inception in the 70s, ballroom culture has taken over the world, inspiring many major artists. The most notable example is Madonna's hit 'VOGUE'. Others include Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Teyana Taylor, FKA twigs, Lil Nas X, and Beyonce's Renaissance Era. Rihanna famously sponsored and supported the House of Mugler Porcelain Ball in 2019, creating viral moments.
