About the event

Strictly Nuvo is a high-energy, feel-good charity dance gala bringing together business leaders, local heroes, and community performers for an unforgettable night of dancing, dinner, and fundraising.

Inspired by the glamour of Strictly Come Dancing, the event pairs everyday champions with Nuvo instructors for show-stopping performances in front of a live audience. With styles ranging from ballroom and line dancing to street and commercial dance, the evening is as diverse and inclusive as the communities we support.

Guests enjoy a welcome drink, three-course dinner, and a night of entertainment while raising money for two impactful causes:
✨ The renovation of the Children’s Ward Garden at North Tees Hospital, creating a calm and accessible outdoor space for young patients and their families.
✨ The expansion of our Nuvo N-Dance Academies, giving more children and young people across the North East access to inclusive, wellbeing-focused dance programmes.

  Nuvo Wellbeing is an award-winning community interest company (CIC) dedicated to improving physical and mental health through accessible, inclusive movement and wellbeing programmes. Founded in the North East of England, Nuvo delivers dance, fitness, and creative sessions that empower individuals of all ages – from children and young people to older adults and those with long-term conditions or disabilities.

  Since launching, we’ve supported over 54,000 people across the region and developed a strong reputation for making wellbeing engaging, community-led, and sustainable. Our work is rooted in social impact, with programmes co-designed alongside participants to ensure relevance, enjoyment, and measurable outcomes.
