About the event
St John's College May Ball is a student run event for current and past students of the University of Cambridge. The event occurs on a yearly event in mid-June, this year the Ball will take place on Tuesday 18th June 2024.
Reputed to be the "7th best party in the World" (Times Magazine), St John's College May Ball welcomes some of the world's top artists every year (in recent years we've hosted stars ranging from Calvin Harris and the Scissor Sisters, to Rudimental and Sigala.) We are the largest and most prestigous May Week event in Cambridge, hosting almost 3000 guests, featuring unlimited food and drinks and displaying a complete transformation of the College according to a theme. Why should you sponsor?
Our sponsors have the opportunity for unrivalled visibility to our thousands of guests, comprising current Cambridge students and College alumni, as well as access to the St. John’s student body throughout the year. Our social media channels and access to college email lists, as well as our inside knowledge of student events, means that we can cater to your specific needs as a sponsor.
We have a variety of promotional opportunities available, ranging from "Stall takeovers” on the night of the ball to themed food featuring your brand’s name. Our sponsors are featured on our paper programme, a memento for all our guests, as well as on our emails to the College student body and alumni, guests and social media throughout the year. Possibilities to sponsor our VIP reception, provide stock for part of a personal hamper for our VIP guests or an exclusive tasting event for our VIP guest lounge (tickets at just under £500 a head) are also available, putting your brand directly in contact with our most affluent alumni.
Sponsorship St John's May BallOur committee has been running this event since 1888. We strive to improve our event year on year, listening to our guests and contractors to encourage further development of our event. Year on year we have received positive feedback from guests with regards to our sponsor involvement, we only wish to increase and improve this engagement.

We are also open to monetary partnerships. These can range frm £1000-10,000, with a range of benefits including your logo featuring on our websites, posters, tickets... Promotional emails sent out the College student body throughout the year, or even receiving dedicated social media posts. Alternatively you may wish to sponsor our exclusive tickets, for example offering exclusive tastings or holding a promotional sessions to our VIP guests.
