    Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam

Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam is a community of performative artists who are dedicated to bringing about a change in the way that the world views the capabilites of the human body with respect to the pursuit of the physical arts. Functioning under the leadership of Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam as a sister organization, Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam acts as an extension of the ideology of global well-being.

The central mission of Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam is the revival and propagation of traditional physical arts forms that have started to fade from the mainstream consciousness. These art forms, that were once the backbone of Bharatiya tradition and culture, are commemorative of the times when a deep rooted sense of collective well being flourished within the social structures of a civilisation that marched the world ahead on the path of holistic well being. This practice of physical arts endorsed by the Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam includes, but is not limited to the practice of Kalaripayattu, dance forms like Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam, among several others along with strides towards enrichment of the mind through Carnatic Music and the art of the theatre. With this mission in mind, Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam has conducted several workshops and stage programs to promote active participation in these art forms.

Ayurnadanam is an ayurveda inspired motivational program that features dancers who are back on the stage after a hiatus that was a result of various health disorders like art injuries, knee pain, back pain, shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, etc. that resulted in an inability to perform on stage. It is an attempt to spread the message that An illness is not the end. The first three editions of Ayurnadanam took place in 2021, 2022 and 2024 respectively and hosted the Second Arangettam for over 100 dancers among the numerous who are now performing elsewhere as well. The dancers who have and will perform in the future in Ayurnadanam are the living examples that human will, with a little help and guidance, can achieve what might seem impossible at first glance.

Other than this, the future plans for Sreemudra Kala Gurukulam includes a national level dance festival, named Sreemohananadanam set to have it's inaugural stage on February 1 & 2, 2025. This event will feature renowned national performers of Indian classical dances along with dancers who are making their comeback after treatment at Sree Swami Vaidhya Gurukulam. An international dance festival named Trilokyamohanam, which will feature performers of various nationalities who have been trained in Indian classical dances, is also set to be organized in three years' time.
