About the event

Activation of a valuable institutional collaboration between the National Museum of Italian Emigration in Genoa and the Museum of Immigration and the Statue of Liberty in NYC. To this end, we will create a real - life size streaming connection of these two iconic places of history, culture and tourism for six months, through the installation of "SlideDoor" video portals in their respective spaces. Virtual devices capable of opening real Star-Gates, connecting geographically distant places live and the users who animate them in full size.
Through the SlideDoors it is possible to meet people, interact as if it were done live, with a perfect proxemic of figure 1: 1.
The result is a proposal that brings together art, culture, tourism, history and sport in a strategy for the enhancement of the territories that aims to create broad-spectrum revenue
