Our innovative blend of traditional festival vibes, comprehensive accessibility measures, and state-of-the-art adaptive technology creates a truly universal space where everyone can revel in the power of music together. Music has the unique power to bring people of all abilities together, fostering a sense of community and shared experience. When the energy of a live performance intermingles with the energy of the crowd, a magical bubble of inclusivity, celebration, and joy envelops us all. Yet, for too many individuals, these transformative experiences remain out of reach due to inadequate accessibility laws and practices. At Shine Music, we believe that everyone deserves to experience the magic of live music, and we are committed to breaking down barriers and creating a truly inclusive and accessible musical community for all.

Shine Music is a 501c3 nonprofit that raises awareness for inclusion and accessibility through our universally designed live music festival. Your tax deductible donation allows us to implement new cutting edge technology that allows attendees to experience music on a whole new level. Here are some examples of these technologies:

In 2023, Shine Music introduced XRAI glasses which, for the first time ever at a live music event, provided closed captioning services for our deaf and hard of hearing guests. 

In 2022, Shine Music integrated Cleanrobotics TrashBot - the worlds first AI recycling solution. Cleanrobotics used the analytics gained from their experience to enhance the accessibility of their product in their next product update release.

Supporting Shine Music is supporting a world in which everyone can participate.

Shine Music has built strong relationships with organizations that support the disabled communities including Craig Hospital, PASCO, Autism Community, Easterseals, Special Olympics, Camp Courageous, Rehabilitative Rhythm, and Disabled Veterans. These partners have supported us through direct messaging to their member base, promoting their support of the event via their website and social media accounts, and volunteering at the event. Securing funding will allow the Shine Music team to be more actively involved in our aligned community events.

In 2022, Westword Magazine awarded Shine Music Festival “Best New Festival 2022” (https://www.westword.com/best-of/2022/arts-and-entertainment/best-new-festival-13805271) and on August 22, Shine received an official proclamation from the City and County of Denver recognizing August 27th as the official Shine Music Festival Day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dc1N25VW980&t=4s&ab_channel=ShineMusicFestivalDenver

Two-time lifetime achievement award winning director Nigel Dick started filming a documentary about Shine Music in August 2021. 

"I was briefly involved with Shine Festival in 2021 and had my eyes opened as to what able-bodied concert goers like myself take for granted. I've been blessed with seeing and shooting shows all over the world and when Shawn Satterfield called and asked me to be involved this year, I instantly felt the need to pay it back and do what I could to make sure accessibility is equal for all concert-goers everywhere."

CBS has been the official media sponsor of Shine Music Festival since 2022, with weekly Shine related stories throughout the month of August leading up to the event.
