About the event
The Sacramento Sirens are an all female football team playing in the Independent Women's Football League. We provide a unique opportunity for women to play hard hitting NCAA rules full tackle football. Our fans are loyal and enjoy watching the professionalism played out as dedication and passion on the football field. We play against teams in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Central and Southern California. Playoffs are nationwide. The Sirens have played in three leagues since beginning in 2000, and won multiple championships. As with most non-traditional women's events, we have not been broadly represented in the mainstream media. We are looking to change that. We are also looking to cut the cost to play for our players down, as well as our providing compensation for our generous volunteer coaches.
We play 4 home season games at Hughes Stadium on the Sacramento City College campus and travel for 4 away games. All of which cost a great deal of money that must be fundraised or paid by our players.
A sponsorship of a single home game would cost only $4000 and would help to offset our fees. Our uniforms cost $125 each and travel to away games can range from $150-$600 per player. Sponsors are greatly appreciated by the entire team and promoted on our facebook, twitter, website, fundraising events, home games, and programs. Our Home games are played at 5:30pm Saturday nights April 23rd, 30th, May 21st, and June 11th. 2016. usually we sell beer and sometimes have a food truck and other refreshments. Banners, patches, warm up outfits, scoreboard advertisements are also available. Thank you for considering the hard working women of the Sacramento Sirens.
