About the event
The importance of parent-child relationships are paramount to not only the integrity of the family but our society as a whole. In cases of parental abduction or extreme parental alienation,the reunification process can be painful, challenging, and slow.
Parental alienation is the psychological manipulation where children are wrongly kept from or turned against a parent. Due to the psychological manipulation many children and parents experience through PA, they are highly subject to post-traumatic stress, and reunification efforts should proceed carefully and with sensitivity.
A Reunification Retreat allows a parent and child an escape from their day-to-day life and environment to take time just for themselves – to talk, bond, and to make long-lasting memories.
In May we will be sending a father and his daughter to Hawaii after being separated for 2 years. This reunification retreat will help this family rebuild and strengthen their relationship. They will take part in relationship building activities, relaxation, and alone time in a stress free paradise in order to enhance the benefits of this retreat.
We are proud to be able to put on our first of many reunification retreats in order to begin restoring the value of parent-child relationships back into society.
