About the event

The students of National Institute of Technology Goa will be organizing our first edition of the annual cultural festival RAAG under the patronage of Prof. G.R.C.Reddy in the last week of January. The institute, presently in its 6th year, has grown to become the landmark institute of the region. Spread over three days, the festival attracts participants from all over the nation and hence becoming a platform from diverse backgrounds to showcase their talents outside their regular domain of expertise. This will be a national event, as we are welcoming all students from IITs, NITs, other institutes, colleges and foreign institutes. 

A festival to celebrate music, dance, fine arts and culture, RAAG will last for three days; 27th, 28th and 29th of January 2017. RAAG provides the students from different colleges and institutes across the nation to showcase their talents in the field of performing arts and compete among themselves to prove their supremacy. 

RAAG strives to meet the social needs through youth. Supporting social initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Raag makes it a point to "Make a Change" in the society. Corporate participation is always considered as an important role in shaping the success of major events at NITG.

What makes RAAG the highlight of the nation is our idea of including set of pre-events during the span of August to January hence providing RAAG with the complete cultural package. Goa being the cultural hub of the nation, we expect to draw large attention of students and participants from all over the nation.

I am Annette Catherine Paul, the convener of the festival Raag. I am currently pursuing my bachelors in technology in the field of computer science and technology from National Technology of Goa.
