Our mission for the convention is to promote education and community. By integrating pop culture and entertainment themes, we are able to unite diverse people through common interests. The result is a strong, empowered community that embraces diversity. Our vision is to provide an affordable family event that inspires a love of learning, increases literacy, and celebrates diversity through a multi-genre fandom education.
The convention schedule incorporates celebrity meet and greets, discussion panels, workshops, screenings, demonstrations, costume contests, tournaments, and competitions. Anyone who attends can find something to engage his or her interests, as well as discover new experiences.
Additionally, Pensacola Comic Convention benefits the Arc Gateway, EscaRosa Coalition On the Homeless, Inc., the Special Olympics, the Ronald McDonald House, and other various local charities. This tradition reinforces our goal to aid community development and bring people together, even after the conclusion of the Comic Con.
In order to make this event a success, we require additional financial assistance. Any funding secured will be used for program development, event promotion, travel expenses, and operational costs. Our goal is to increase attendance by expanding the awareness for the convention. Please consider joining our efforts in producing an event that represents diversity, unity, and educational development.
Since 2010, Pensacola Comic Convention has been a staple in the community. Our 2016 goal is to increase our attendance and overall fan experience. We wish to provide more programing catered to literacy and creative expression. The community loves the diversity and freedom of expression at such events. We love that Pensacola is embracing it’s geek upside of life.
With this donation, we hope to be able to continue to provide an affordable event that welcomes people of all economic backgrounds, races, and genders. It is also very important to us to provide a place for people with disabilities to feel they can belong. Our choice of charities deeply impact our community on every level.
Since 2010, the Pensacola Comic Convention has been open for lovers of all genres throughout all forms of entertainment. The founder, Ericka Boussarhane, identified a lack of events that blended community interests. Ericka’s vision was an event that combined sci-fi, horror, fantasy, gaming, anime, costumes, indie films, comics, the Renaissance, steampunk, theater, literature, and all other channels of the arts. Everyone is welcome to attend, participate, and explore various interests.

We always welcome the opportunity to help them raise funding and awareness. Pensacola Comic Convention gives community heroes the ability to make a difference…cape optional.
