About the event
Orlando loves brunch, so we are putting together a festival to celebrate some of the best restaurants in the brunch game serving up tasting size portions of the brunch items they do best. We will also feature the bottomless brunch beverages we all love. Proceeds are being donated to the local wedding charity WeddingWish.org
Why should you sponsor?
The Brunchfest is being organized to support the Wedding Wish organization.
This project is dedicated to the many survivors, and sadly to the ones we’ve lost to cancer. It’s hard enough planning a budget-conscious wedding without the additional struggles of medical hurdles and bills. We just want to help where we can.
Through the generous support of our volunteer and donation-based network, we help couples facing serious illness and life-altering health circumstances have a truly memorable celebration of their love and receive mental health services during the planning stages. We accomplish this by partnering with other local wedding industry professionals with a vision to give couples and their loved ones a day away from serious illness.
Due to health-related circumstances outside of their control, the couples we honor have endured far greater challenges than many of us could possibly imagine and we aim to celebrate their love for one another.
We envision for each couple a day that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time. Memories have magical powers. Long after the day is gone, the memories linger – memories of the kindness of a stranger, of the beauty of the decor, of the cake being cut and shared between you, of the smiles and laughs on the dance floor, of a truly love filled experience. These memories are our vision for each Wedding Wish and of this we are truly proud.

Leia Perez is a couture cake designer whose work was recently published in Cake Masters Magazine and featured on the Sisaundra Show twice in the past year. She holds several philanthropy awards including an NAACP award. Her bakery Candyland Designs vaunts an industry high Google review rating and is the premier wedding cake bakery in the Orlando, FL area.
Leia Perez (former accountant turned pastry chef) began designing custom cakes in 2017, she soon after joined with the Make-A-Wish bakers via Icing Smiles and has always donated a portion of all cake profits to the No Kid Hungry foundation.
Perez is most passionate about her philanthropy in the sense that she is able to bring happiness into her community. It isn’t simply about giving money but giving happiness to people is what makes her philanthropic approach so near and dear to her heart. As the founder of Wedding Wish by Candyland Designs, Perez envisions for each couple a day that provides a temporary escape from worry and creates a positive memory during a difficult time. Memories have magical powers. Perez holds a business management and accounting BS from Case Western Reserve University. As an accountant in a previous lifetime she still lends her accounting experience to the finance committees for both the Kissimmee Main Street Program as well as the ANI Foundation of Cleveland.
