About the event
Orlando African Festival is part of a series of events commemorating September as African Immirant Heritage Month in Orane County. This event is held at the Walt Disney Amphitheater located at Lake Eola Park, 195 N Rosalind Ave; Orlando, Florida 32801. The attendance last year was over 500 strong.
The festival showcases the rich and diverse cultures of the Pan African Community. Orange County and the City Of Orlando is the first county and city to dedicate an entire month to the African Community in the State of Florida.
Orlando African Festival seeks to highlight the relationship between people of African heritage and the African Diaspora groups as well as to unite everyone in our community.Event Details
When: Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Labor Day Weekend)
Where: Walt Disney Amphitheater located at Lake Eola Park, 195 N Rosalind Ave; Orlando, Florida 32801. (Downtown Orlando).This is an outdoor event to attract the vibrant and active community in the Downtown Orlando area. The festival will include live cultural performances by cultural groups, live performances by African artists, arts & craft exhibits, and a taste of great cuisine.
