Hello! My name is Ned Richards, I am the host and founder of NedStock Festival.
NedStock Festival is a new community-oriented consciousness-raising experience in Towersey, Oxfordshire, aiming to take modern festivals back to their original grassroots origins. The basic ethos of our event is to take contemporary festivals back to their original raison d'être of bringing like-minded young people together in a non-profit space to share ideas, raise collective consciousness, and connect over performance art and music.

My name is Ned Richards, I am the host and founder of NedStock Festival. I am 21 years old, currently studying Geography at the University of Leeds.
I had the idea for NedStock festival 3 years ago. There used to be a fantastic community folk festival in Towersey called Towersey Folk Featival, it was an amazing community environment where individuals could share ideas and connect over music and performance art. It was the oldest folk festival in England, and a real mark of pride for our village of a mere 400 people in Oxfordshire. My father was on the organisational committee and we attended every year, and I have some of the happiest memories of my childhood at that festival. The festival got too big for its boots in the early 2010s, moved to a bigger site outside of Towersey and has since stopped operating. I believe this is because it severed the community ties that made the festival so great in the first place. My goal in life is to recreate a similarly magic event where young people can have similar happy memories of sharing ideas, laughter and engaging over music and performance art.
I am also a stand up comedian, having performed in Leeds, Oxford and London.
