About the event

The Australian International Pageants is a range of different titles that allow woman with all types of marital staus to enter. Because I'm divorced, I'm only entitled to do a selected number of pageants. Miss universe and Miss World only require contestants that have no marital status and it is great that a pageant like this has many different titles which allows many different women with any status to enter. For as long as I could remember I had always wanted to enter a beauty pageant, and now I've been given this opportunity I couldn't be more excited about this journey. There's a lot of charity work involved which I'm rather also excited and passionate to take part of.

Why should you sponsor?

I am very passionate about what I want to bring to the different communities of Australia. I am not only wanting to be givin the amazing opportunity to win this amazing title but I want to make as much of a difference as possible for all the communities and for my chosen charity. 

I have chosen a charity called Sentebale. It's a charity that was founded by Prince Seesio for the Lesotho royal family and Prince Harry Prince of Wales back in 2006. This Organization supports orphans and vulnerable children, many whom are affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Through education and psychosocial support and care, Sentebale gives the children the tools they need to lead strong, healthy and Protective lives.

I chose this charity in particular because I believe that every child deserves the best healthy start in life as the first 6 years are crucial for a child's mental development.  Other contestants have chosen cancer charities, wild life or other children's charities, and I wanted to work with a charity that isn't well heard of and deserves a little bit more recognition. It surprises me how unknown the charity Sentebale is, even though it's founded by Prince Harry Prince of Wales.

Hello, My name is Renee Turner, I am 26 years of age and I have been chosen to Represent QLD in the Ms Australia International Pageants in late October early November this year. I am writing to you today to ask if you would be interested in Sponsoring me through out the duration of this event. In the up and coming months until national finals, my duties for this pageant is to hold events that will allow me to fundraise for my chosen charity.

Sentebale is an organiseation that was founded by Prince Harry of Wales and Prince Seesio of the Lesotho Royal family in 2006. This organization supports orphans and vulnerable children, many whom are effected by the HIV and AIDS epidemic. Through Education and Psychosocal support and care, Sentebale gives the children the tools they need to lead healthy and protective lives. Sentebale means "Forget me not" in Sesotho and the name was chosen as Memorial to the charity work of our own mothers as well as a reminder to us all not to forget Lesotho or its children. I have chosen this charity because I believe all children deserve the best start in life as the first 6 years of a childs life is curshal for their mental development.

My goal over the next few months is to not only raise as much funds and awereness for my chosen charity Sentebale as possible, but to show that the smallest act of kindness can make all the difference in the world for struggling children. All I wish is to make a differenace and through this amazing opportunity I will be given the opportunity to do just that.
