About the event
Each year, Carver County Parks puts on the Minnewashta Mud Run, a community driven, family-friendly, charity race at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park. Last year we had 300 racers and anticipate significant growth in the years to come. The event was under the name Tonka Mud Run for 7 years and we took over management of the race last year but are continuing its community-based spirit and charity donation.
There are many mud run events in Minnesota but what sets ours apart is a focus on families participating together. Not only do we offer a timed run, but also a “just for fun” run and a “mini-mudder” which sees kids as young as 2 years old!

The goal of this event is to promote community, support a charity and get people into their local regional park!

Additionally, businesses are offered space right by the event start line for a promotional booth. We are open to customizing your sponsorship package. Instead of cash, sponsors may contribute donated goods to the event worth $500 such as food items or materials.
