About the Event – ‘MARA’
MARA is the debut public theatre production by Dreamatics, the in-house theatre group of Mahasai Montessori School. Written and directed by Sriram Jeevan, the play will be staged on August 23, 2025, at the prestigious Egmore Museum Theatre, Chennai.
The story is inspired by Indian mythology, told through a bold, modern lens. It follows a mysterious old man who catches a burglar and, instead of punishing him, tells a story — one that reimagines Ravana not just as a demon, but as a man torn between power and desire. The play blends drama, music, and striking visuals to offer an unforgettable live experience for families, students, and theatre lovers.
With over 500+ attendees expected, MARA is not just a school event, but a public cultural showcase — celebrating storytelling, performance, and artistic excellence.
