Luton Food, Beverage & Arts Festival,

Luton, England, United Kingdom Luton, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, events have taken a hard hit across the globe leaving some collapsing and some slowly trying to recoup losses made. With that being said the pandemic has had a severe effect economically as well mentally. Some people are still trying to build back their confidence in getting back to normal activities pre pandemic.

As well as this, the town has suffered some setback with bad publicity of which Luton residents stand strongly against. We have seen the community come together to promote it equality, arts, heritage and togetherness.

Luton has slowly built a positive halo showing to the rest of the country how inclusive it is and of course since it major win of getting into the Premier League earlier this year.

The event will provide a full scale community event of something that has never been done before with an amazing production and 2 days filled with activities and laughter. From mouth watering food to the melodies and dances we will be bringing the community together for an amazing weekend involving ethnicities and backgrounds.

The event will FREE for everyone to attend and enjoy. There will be some workshops, an area dedicated to food lovers, creative stalls and designs, health and wellbeing and much more. The event will support the vision of LUTON 20240 covering each of its 5 priorities:

    • Building an inclusive economy that delivers investment to support the growth of businesses, jobs and incomes. Our event will help bring in people across the country for an amazing experience thus boosting our local economy and help support local businesses.

    • Improving population wellbeing and tackling health inequalities to enable everyone to have a good quality of life and reach their full potential. Our event will have NHS and private healthcare stalls to help with testing and advice to lead a better quality of life.

    • Becoming a child friendly town, where our children grow up happy, healthy and secure, with a voice that matters and the opportunities they need to thrive. We are supporting the creative aspects of our future generation giving them a platform to showcase their creativity through art or performing arts. we will be working with local education providers to provide work experience for some students wanting to get involved in events.

    • Tackling the climate emergency and becoming a net zero town with sustainable growth and a healthier environment. We will be working with catering providers to ensure only compostable and recycling packaging can be used to increase our sustainable growth environmentally.

    • Supporting a strong and empowered community, built on fairness, local pride and a powerful voice for all our residents. We will be working with communtiies to build the event year on year creating an event for the community by the community.
