About the event

From a little spark, may burst a flame. Ignite, the annual social fest of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, is an endeavor to ignite the spark of learning in young minds while giving them a chance to live their childhood to the fullest. We aspire to give underprivileged children a tint of true education, to foster an enthusiasm to learn, inquisitiveness to the question, a spirit to think and act freely to help them realize their full potential. We recognize that sustainable development of underprivileged communities can be achieved only if a child’s best interests are at the heart of everything and when children themselves actively participate in the progress.

Why should you sponsor?

Ignite, which is truly one of its kind, over the span of four years, has grown from pillar to pillar, hosting over 600 children from various orphanages in its last edition. To help us scale the heights we envision, we, require your support.

Over the course of the three days of the fest, the children stay on the campus. The accommodation, food and the transport are fully taken care by Nirmaan. Prizes will be given to winners in various competitions that take place in course of the fest. Bags and stationery are given as take-away gifts to the kids on the last day. We require sponsorship to meet these costs of transport, accommodation, stationery, takeaways and food.

For most of childhood days were some of the best days of life. By sponsoring Ignite, you will be helping a child to live his/her childhood to the fullest. With your support, we will be able to reach out more children and create a bigger impact. Your contribution will lend momentum towards our efforts of envisioning a bright future for the children of our nation.

I am Surya, President of Nirmaan Organization BITS Hyderabad Chapter. Nirmaan was started by students of BITS Pilani in the year 2005 and is still managed and run by students. Being provided with the comforts from our parents hard work we understand the value of parents hard work and the need to study well and serve the country. But, for those who are unfortunate to lose or abandoned by their parents it also became our duty to provide them with value and innovative education outside their classrooms. Thus the idea of IGNITE was born and succesfully accomplished 5 editions caring and educating nearly 2000 underprvileged kids. With your support we will scale bigger heights with this sixth edition of IGNITE.
