About the event
Glitz is a holiday street fair. The historic main street—Avenida Del Mar—in downtown San Clemente, CA is closed to traffic from 5pm to 9pm. Shops stay open. There are food vendors, a live band, strolling carolers, string quartet, and several other musical groups positoned thruout the venue. Vendor booths line the street with games for children. The City hosts a holiday party at the end of the venue with visits to Santa Claus and holiday games and arts & crafts.
It has been going on for over 25 years and is a very beloved event in San Clemente and gets a huge turnout from the community and surrounding cities.

Julie HeinzeI am Director of the SCDBA (San Clemente Downtown Business Association). We plan events and programs to encourage downtown shopping, dining and networking among merchants in our historic downtown area. We also advocate for concerns of downtown businesses with elements of the City government.
