About the event
Gear Con is a Steampunk festival with panels and forums on topics which would have been popular during the Victorian Era such as Cryptozoology, Paranormal, Sideshow, Sports Entertainment, and of course a basic Introduction to Steampunk. This event provides guest with multiple points of interest and is family orientated but also very viable for singles and young couples looking for something to do.
Why should you sponsor?
Steampunk by nature provides a wide spectrum of targeted audience as it is very inclusive. Families, Couples, and Singles of all ages and income brackets attend and partake in Steampunk Events. This years guest will include Andrew Brynairski {Leatherface} of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", Stephanie Nadolny voice actress of "Dragon Ball Z" , Ken Gerhard noted cryptozoologist, author and TV Personality now appearing on the History Channels "The Truth Is Out There" along with The Ambassoder of Steampunk RJ Lundgren The Steampunk Pope. In addition we will hold a costume contest and have several free games for children to play.
Steve AmanI am Steve Aman Representative of AKA Entertainment and Amusement llc and our event Gear Con. I am a Performer, Army Veteran, Father and Husband. Having performed the painproof acts of Sideshow for 45 plus years I decided it was time to create a legacy which my wife and children could carry on should they choose to not follow in my footsteps as a performer but instead as an event organiser and promotor. I received an honorable discharge from the US Army having served in the first Gulf War I am proud to have served my country and would not hesitate to do so again. At the age of 50 I started a second family and take great pride in my two bonus children ages 12 and 9 and am honored that they choose to call me Dad. My new wife and I also added 2 more to that list age 7 and 6 . Of all things being a Husband and a Father are worth more than any monetary value.
