  • About the event

Eat Play Mingle is one part showcase and one part networking event, aimed at video game developers and enthusiasts of all ages with a focus on university students currently enrolled in video game development programs.

We act as a diving board for students ready to showcase their first polished projects and for indie developers eager for their first few rounds of feedback. We're also open to the public for any enthusiasts that want to know more about video games and the people who make them.

The Toronto video game community is tight knit and can seem daunting for students just getting into the industry, we offer an inclusive, ultra casual space for everyone to be inspired and get to know each other.

    Why should you sponsor?

Eat Play Mingle is a trusted source of information for university game development students learning about networking, the latest industry standards and trends, as well as local Toronto hot spots. We want to put your company in the spotlight so our students are up to date and maybe even ahead of the times.

We can give your company access to booths, mailing lists, postcards, tshirts, contests and giveaways that will set your company up to be the next big thing with the upcoming generation if game developers.

    Meagan Budgell

Eat Play Mingle is a new company owned and operate by Meagan Budgell that spawned out of the success of the Eat Play Mingle annual game showcase. Our mission is to help fledgling game developers become the next indie developer superstars by helping them learn how to network, showcase and develop their game and business skills.

With this goal in mind, we have been responsible for over 5 events in the course of the past year that have brought in anywhere from 20 - 350 attendees with the help of our generous sponsors and partners. These events have helped launch Kickstarter campaigns, been responsible for a few new recruits at local game studios and overall has built up a fantastic community. Now, with your help, we're bringing our mission to a wider Toronto audience.
