    The D’Yard Festival is an electrifying celebration of music, culture, and community. This one-of-a-kind event brings together diverse audiences to experience a harmonious blend of music genres, local talent, and cultural expressions. D’Yard Festival is Antwerp’s premier celebration of African-Caribbean culture, offering an immersive experience of music, dance, art, and food. As the only event targeting the African-Caribbean diaspora in the city and neighbouring countries, D’Yard has grown significantly since its inception in 2022. D’Yard is the only festival in Belgium that is centred on the African Caribbean cultural and tradition’s aspect, and using this to support, nature and promote talented upcoming international and local artists. The African-Caribbean community has faced and continues to face many challenges. Not only does the community bear a painful colonial heritage, it also has to deal with racial discrimination among others. However, it is a community that is quite
    resilient. It is in this resilience that a strong desire for cultural and ethnic identity has risen. The community has become very conscious of its cultural heritage and traditions.

    Magnus Adjetey Sowah is a dynamic young entertainment manager with a degree in International Business. With a deep love for music and dance, he’s been at the forefront of organizing a wide range of events, from concerts to dance showcases. Known for his hands-on approach, he works closely with artists and performers to bring their ideas to life, creating unforgettable experiences for audiences. Successfully worked with some known artists / producers such Dotorado Pro, 3nity, Ippapi Bizzy Salifu or home grown talents like W9nted, Kwaku Benson and Ginja from Antwerpen. His strong business background helps him manage the many moving parts of the entertainment world, from logistics to creative direction. Approachable and dedicated, he's built a reputation for making things happen and delivering successful, engaging events. Events such as D’Yard festival, Droptop, Afrotouch are some of the few events thought and built in the process.

    A degree in International Business has equipped him with a strong foundation in financial management and negotiation, two key skills that have contributed to his success as an entertainment manager. His financial expertise allows him to create and maintain budgets for events of all sizes, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently without compromising the quality of the production. He is skilled at maximizing value while minimizing costs, ensuring profitability for both the artists and the events.
