A LOT CAN HAPPEN IN A DAY – Official Film Premiere & Cultural Gala is a premier red-carpet celebration showcasing a feature film produced in Durham, North Carolina. The evening brings together business leaders, community partners, filmmakers, artists, media, elected officials, and cultural influencers for an unforgettable night of cinema, networking, and community impact at the Durham Convention Center.
Hosted by HB5Films and HappiNini Productions in partnership with BenAfrica, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3), and the Durham Arts Council, the event celebrates local storytelling while supporting the next generation of creatives. Fifteen percent of net ticket proceeds will benefit Durham Arts Council youth arts and creative education programs.
With an expected attendance of 1,000–1,700 guests, the gala offers sponsors exceptional brand visibility through red-carpet activations, VIP experiences, media coverage, digital marketing, and long-term recognition associated with a Durham-produced feature film.
Sponsors will align their brand with one of Durham's most anticipated cultural events while gaining meaningful exposure to an engaged and diverse audience of business leaders, community influencers, professionals, creatives, media, and local residents.
The Official Film Premiere & Cultural Gala offers premium branding opportunities through red-carpet activations, on-stage recognition, VIP networking, event signage, digital marketing campaigns, social media promotion, website recognition, and media exposure before, during, and after the event.
Beyond event-night visibility, sponsors will receive long-term recognition through the film's ongoing promotional campaigns, festival screenings, community engagement initiatives, and educational outreach. Hosted in partnership with BenAfrica, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3), and supporting the Durham Arts Council through a commitment of 15% of net ticket proceeds to youth arts and creative education programs, sponsorship also demonstrates a meaningful investment in the cultural and creative future of the Triangle region.
