About the event

DevsHouse ‘24 is a national level physical hackathon in which students from various colleges from across the country will be participating. We intend to carry it out utilizing a variety of tech stacks that are innovative in nature. As a part of the hackathon, participants will have 36 hours to brainstorm and develop creative solutions to challenges in the real world during this 48-hour event. This hackathon aims to foster invention, teamwork, and collaboration. It will be beginner friendly as well. By awarding swag or tokens of gratitude to teams whose entire membership comprises members of underrepresented social groups, we hope to encourage the many social groups who are often underrepresented in the software industry to participate in the event. All of the teams will release their projects as open source projects after the hackathon, which will be beneficial in judging the projects as well to the teams. We will offer many tracks, such as open innovation, to enable people with different tech interests to join us.

With the help of a committed and knowledgeable technical staff and a panel of equally stimulating and creative subjects, participants can put their talents to the test and use the results to create projects that address real-world issues. ‘We're planning on inviting participants from more than 10 universities and colleges. We're aiming to have an impact on more than 50 thousand students and approximately 300+ attendees. This hackathon is an open Innovation battleground for all the young thriving minds.

The Google Developer Student Club VIT Chennai (GDSC VITC) is a community for university students who have an inclination towards the tech world.
