The reason why weare writing to you is to request your support for the second Bhangra Recitalbeing held by 2 Step Bhangra Dance Academy.
2 Step Bhangra Dance Academy is anew initiative that was inaugurated in March of 2011. We began with theconcept of wanting to promote the Punjabi culture and promote good health andfitness in the Markham and Scarborough area. Till today we have been successfulas our academy now has over 100 students which consist of children and adultsof all age groups. Parents are highly supportive of our organization as weencourage and educate our students on a healthy lifestyle, discipline, andprovide them with a fun way to promote Indian culture. The academy consists ofweekly classes and practices for wedding performances or upcoming competitionsfor students to showcase their talent.
We have seen tremendousdevelopment and realized the potential locked not only in this venture, but in manyof the students that we have worked with. However, in order to take ouracademy to the next level, we need your financial assistance to support thisevent which will consist of all students in the academy performing in front oftheir family and friends.
This financial support will give usthe backbone to not only cover our many costs, but to let us add to ourfoundation. We aspire to expand ouracademy to another location in Vaughan as well as buy props such as kundey,shikeh and vardiah to enhance the student’s learning experience. 2 Step BhangraDance Academy continues to face raising costs as a result of the currenteconomic situation, and in order to be able to construct a robust base upon whichexpansion may be fostered, financial support is required. This support will not only help our league toflourish, but also aid us in embedding the values of teamwork, dedication,optimism and a strong culture into our children.
