In the rolling hills of the blue ridge mountains, a collection of small businesses will converge. Local chefs will create a live fine dining event in the middle of 360degree mountain views for the enjoyment and rejuvenation of several local mental health therapists. A meditative forest bathing event will precede the meal, and a beneficiary of local significance will be selected. Connections will be made, restoration and conviviality will ensue, local and sessonal food will be cooked and devoured, and community will be built among colleagues. Mental health workers hold an unusual quantity of weight in our world today, and while we are often privileged to be in the position to help, we also need support and comfort in order to keep going effectively. We celebrate our work, we celebrate each other, and we invite your support in doing so. Thank you for your consideration.
In order to make the event accessible to small town mental health professionals, generously pay our chefs, organizer, and forest bathing guide, and to achieve the goal of donating proceeds to a worthy local cause, sponsorship will go a long way. We want to transform a pleasurable event into yet another act of service, not an expensive ticket that is cost-prohibitive and creates accessibility issues, which are against our value systems. We believe in community supports and wealth redistribution, and once in a while, as givers, it's our time to receive.
I'm Ginelle Krummey, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I'm the owner of Collaborative Therapy at Growth Point Cottage (the site of our event) and cofounder of the Western North Carolina Therapist Culinary Club. I organize monthly dining events for local therapists to gather, enjoy a delicious treat, and talk shop building deep and trusting community.
