his empowering event is dedicated to celebrating and supporting bonus moms like me, who have been on this incredible and sometimes challenging journey.  This brunch holds a special place in my heart as I aim to create the safe and nurturing space I wished I had during my journey.

This brunch is a pioneering initiative, filing a significant gap in the event landscape. While we celebrate and honor biological mothers through various events, bonus moms-the loving, caring and essential figures in many children's lives-have not receive the recognition they deserve. My mission is to change that, by providing a platform for empowerment, encouragement and community-building among bonus moms fostering an environment where they can share experiences, learn and grow.

I've been a bonus mom for 15 years but my blended family journey began when I was just 9 months old. So, blended family is my life and I am grateful for the journey God has led me on. 

here are so many events for biological moms and don't forget Mother's Day but you don't see any bonus mom or stepmom brunches or people acknowledge Stepmother's Day(the following Sunday after Mother's Day). I wanted to create the space I didn't have when I started my journey. I didn't become a biological mom until 9 years ago. So, I know what those lonely Mother's Day's were like. Or seeing friends go to brunches for Moms and wouldn't really include me since I didn't birth a child. Parenthood isn't about DNA, it's about the love, care and nurture you provide to a child.

This is why I am hosting the first (more to come) Bonus Mom Empower Brunch. We will come together as likeminded women and discuss our role, gain insights, release our negative thoughts that affect our mindset and build a community to be the positive change in our blended family.
