About the event
The Belvoir National Road Cycling Series, is a British Cycling UK Professional series event to be run from 2022 for both men and women.
The series has historically been the launch pad of UK cyclists in to the world level, with such riders as Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas, Simon Yates, Tom Pidcock and many many others taking victories in events before their world transition.
If you want a testing professional event, with stunning scenary in a historic and easilly accessible location with great hospitality venues, Belvoir ticks all the boxes, just 10 minutes from the A1, and you are in the heart of England, with a fairytale panorama.
Why should you sponsor?
Our aim is to create the finest domestic race the UK has to offer, equal status for both men and women as well as prize funding. We also want to give sponsors a fully immesive experience, one that last in the memory, and also serves to further sponsors brands to a worldwide audience.
We want sponsors to also build lasting relationships inside the sport, and the event through network sessions with local stakeholders.
The cycling community in the UK has for 20 years developed some of the finest athletes this country has produced. Creating showpeice events, is a must to keep inspiring young athletes to rise to the top of the sport. The event itself will act as an aid to the local community to stimulate growth in the hospitality industry.
Chris LawrenceI’m Chris Lawrence, voluntary British Cycling road race and town centre circuit race organiser. Im also a club committee member, and a fundraiser for youth development.
I have run Barnsley Town Centre Races for 4 years, plus local road races for 6. In some shape of another been the organiser for 30 races, plus support the same amount on top in other roles (official, driver, marshal, sandwich maker etc…)
A member of British Cycling regional board in Yorkshire, a National Councilor for Yorkshire, a member of ‘event organiser’ workgroups in both Yorkshire and the East Midlands administrative branches for British Cycling, which create networks for regional events.
I am also a core member of the National Organisers Group, a nationwide collective of organisers for the top events this country has to offer, two of which are Lincoln Grand Prix, and Rutland CiCle Classic
I live in South Muskham in Newark, and currently preparing to create a ‘Newark Town Centre Race’ event alongside Newark & Sherwood District Council.
