About the event

Bakersfield Halloween Town provides families of Bakersfield a chance to come out and enjoy festivities during the "Fall" season. I say "fall" because we live in Bakersfield and it's HOT! However, we pride ourselves on bringing a little bit of autumn to our city and providing activities such as a pumpkin patch, our giant 30 ft slide, a corn maze, fall hayride, kids playground complete with bounce houses, face painting, a rock wall, and a craft station. We also offer gem mining along with 20 houses on our grounds that make up the "town". Each of these houses can be sponsored by businesses as well as each of our larger attractions (hayride, corn maze, etc). We get over 30,000 people each year to come out and enjoy a little piece of Fall in Bakersfield!

Why should you sponsor?

Our event is the only one like it here in town. Bakersfield is a rapidly growing city in which people and businesses alike are constantly looking for something "new". We provide that each year by adding and changing our already popular event, whether it's through the Talladega Frights or Halloween Town. There isn't another seasonal event in town that attracts as many people as we do and I would love to have other businesses take advantgage of that publicity! Amber Wilbur

My name is Amber Wilbur and my husband and I started Talladega Frights Haunted House back in 2008. We had done smaller versions of a "haunted house" at our house prior to then, but in 2007 we had over 3,000 people line up waiting to walk through our backyard for the haunt. We decided then to go commercial and have had continued success with the Talladega Frights each year. In 2012, we decided to add the family aspect of Halloween and created Halloween Town. It has been a fun addition to our 25 acres of land and it's been even more fun to watch our four kids participate in the business!
