About the event

Our Story
In 2010, on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, the students of MGOCSM, Janakpuri initiated the Annual Sports Meet (ASM) as a fund-raiser event to support the welfare and upliftment of our society by educating the needy, women, transgenders and specially abled persons.

Where we are now
The annually held sports event consists of Dr. Paulos Mar Gregorios Football Tournament & Job Mar Philoxenos Badminton Tournament. Students from various churches of Delhi participate to showcase their skills and encourage the feeling of ecumenism through this noble cause.

The tremendous response of the youngsters from all the churches across Delhi NCR and the valuable support from the sponsors has ensured that the event has been a grand success from its commencement in 2010.

What We Are

MGOCSM (Mar Gregorios Orthodox Christian Student Movement) is a student-led movement dedicated to the elevation and upliftment of the community. Our founders established this organization with the mission to empower the youth of our community, believing that today's youth are the hope and leaders of tomorrow. We are committed to guiding them to become ideal and responsible citizens of society.

What We Do

The motto of MGOCSM is “Worship, Study & Service.” In line with this, we have undertaken numerous charitable activities over the years, supporting education and institutions that assist specially-abled children, leprosy patients, orphans, and other groups in need. Our work also extends to organizing spiritual and intellectual sessions aimed at the holistic development of young people.

Our goal is to be an organization that not only instills moral values and awareness but also fosters a sense of responsibility toward the community we live in.
